Does Stan’s Auto service do diesel emissions?

No, but we have partnered with numerous independent emissions facilities, and if we are doing any repairs or maintenance on your vehicle. We can get it done for you while it’s at our facility.

Do you need an appointment for a diesel emissions?

Most diesel emissions facilities require an appointment. Let us know in advance and we can get an appointment set for you while your vehicle is at Stan’s Auto Service.

Does Stan’s Auto do gasoline emissions test?

We are a certified emissions repair facility and can repair your vehicle if there is a problem, but the test is done only by a state-run program called Air Care Colorado, 7001 N Franklin Ave, Loveland, CO 80538. Click Here.

When do I know that my tires are worn out or unsafe?

Put a penny in the lowest part of the tread with Lincoln‘s head facing down, and if you can see the top of his head, if so your tires are needing replaced.

What is the recommended age when tires should be replaced?

In Colorado we recommend seven years (same as most manufacturers)as we have a very dry, sunny climate.

How often should I rotate my tires?

We recommend every 6 months or 5000 miles.

Should I balance my tires every time I get them rotated?

Unless you feel a vibration at highway speed we recommend balancing every other tire rotation

How often should I have my vehicles alignment checked?

We recommend having the alignment checked once a year or if you see any abnormal where in a tire or your car pulls to the left or the right.



What if I don’t know if my tires or my alignment have an issue?

We at Stan’s Auto try to do a full inspection on every car every time it comes in especially if we’re doing an oil change or any other maintenance or repairs-it takes about an extra 30 to 45 minutes, but we will inspect tires ,suspension, struts, shocks ,inspect for alignment issues , and many other items.
