Engine repairs can be expensive. There are many options to choose from when it comes to repairs or replacement. A replacement engine many times is the best option because they carry good warranty’s (e.g. 3 years, 75,000 miles) and many times the warranty covers a rental car and towing. When we install an engine to protect it from external items that may cause problems we replace parts such as; water pumps, air filters, plugs, plug wires, radiator, thermostat, belts, hoses and many others.
Factors to consider when deciding either to repair an expensive item on your vehicle or purchase a new one:
1. What is your vehicle worth as is.
2. Are you willing to buy another used vehicle and inherit someone elses problems.
3. The amount of a new vehicle payment and how long it will take you to pay it off.
4. The taxes to be paid on a new vehicle.
5. The cost of the new license plates for a new vehicle.
These are just a few things to think about when you are faced with this large decision.
